The first church in Sherbrooke was begun as a mission from Lennoxville and called St. Paul's. That church consecrated in 1830 was demolished in 1844. A new church. St Peter's, was built and consecrated in 1854, that too was demolished and the current St Peter's, which is the successor church to the two previous ones was consecrated March 18th 1902.
